Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential?  We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring individuals to join our education team as either a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Higher Level TA.

Working within a specialist educational environment, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing, helping to create a positive and engaging learning experience every day.

About the Role
Applicants will be considered for the most appropriate level based on their qualifications, skills, and experience.

As part of our team, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping to overcome barriers to learning and encouraging positive outcomes.

Higher Level Teaching Assistants will take on additional responsibilities, including leading learning activities and providing enhanced support to teaching staff and pupils.

Teaching Assistant
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
  • A patient, flexible, and resilient approach
Higher Level
All of the above, plus:
  • Previous experience in the role
  • The confidence and ability to lead learning activities and support teaching and learning at a higher level.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience supporting a range of pupil needs.

Key Responsibilities As Teaching Assistant:
  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning through classroom support, small group work, and one-to-one interventions, helping pupils achieve their individual learning goals.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, contributing to personalised learning plans and supporting positive educational, social, and emotional outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to develop engaging, differentiated learning experiences and maintain effective learning resources and classroom environments.
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour by creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through professional development, teamwork, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance teaching and learning.
