Support Worker

£15.00 per hour
30 hours per week
A caring, reliable and patient Support Worker is required to support a 15-year-old girl who has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. This is a rewarding role supporting her daily routine, independence and overall wellbeing.
Your responsibilities as a Support Worker:
- Helping with personal care
- Supporting mobility and transfers
- Helping with daily activities and routines
- Offering companionship and encouragement
- Accompanying her to appointments, school, and outings (driver preferred)
- Working in a small team and alongside parents
- Attending hospital appointments alongside parents or other support staff
- Some light household cleaning
- Laundry
What we’re looking for in a Support Worker:
- Confidence driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle
- Previous experience in a care setting is desired, but not essential as full training is provided
- Kind, patient and trustworthy
- Confident working with young people
- Willing to learn and follow care plans
- Reliable with good communication skills
- Happy to work as part of a family-centred support team
- Able to be fun and creative
