Some days will test you. Others will remind you exactly why you chose a career where making a difference matters. As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll give vulnerable children and young people the safety, consistency and support they need to start moving forward.
You don’t need a background in childcare. Your experience may come from the Armed Forces, police, fire and rescue, ambulance service, prisons, security, youth work, care or another frontline environment where staying calm, following procedures and taking responsibility for others mattered.
You’ll receive comprehensive training, shadow shifts and ongoing development to help you turn those transferable skills into a rewarding new career.

- Work closely with colleagues and other professionals to deliver consistent, joined-up support.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience gained in a frontline, care, youth work, security, emergency service, military, prison or similar environment is welcomed but not essential.
- Evidence of handling challenging or confrontational situations and using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
- Ability to follow procedures, maintain professional boundaries and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A full, valid manual driving licence is essential, and applicants must be aged 22 or over in line with the requirements of the position.
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK is required, as visa sponsorship is not available.
