Rehabilitation Support Worker - Newcastle Upon Tyne
£13.79 per hour + enhanced weekends and bank holidays
Part-time flexible working pattern including weekday, weekend, and sleep shifts on a rota basis.

As Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will have the chance to make a genuine difference every day, helping an individual with an acquired brain injury live independently, stay active, and enjoy the activities that matter most to them.

This is a rewarding opportunity to become part of an established care team supporting a gentleman who enjoys football (Newcastle United), darts, fitness, voluntary work, socialising, and spending time with family and friends. You'll help maintain structure, encourage independence, and support meaningful participation both at home and within the community.

Your responsibilities as Rehabilitation Support Worker:
  • Follow established routines and rehabilitation programmes within the home and community
  • Provide prompts and assistance with personal care when required
  • Household management and daily living activities
  • Encourage participation in social, leisure, fitness, and voluntary activities
  • Accompany and support attendance at appointments, events, and community activities
  • Follow professional recommendations to support ongoing rehabilitation goals

What we're looking for in a Rehabilitation Support Worker:
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent relevant qualification/experience
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injury
  • Understanding of rehabilitation-focused support and community-based care
  • Ability to satisfy enhanced DBS clearance requirements
