Maternity Cover Support Workers - Langwathby, near Penrith, Cumbria
Part-time - £14.00 per hour
Two positions available: 
1: to start immediately after induction until August 2026
2: from September 2026 to June 2027
Driving Licence essential
If you believe care should be personal, purposeful and centred around helping somebody live life to the fullest, this Support Worker opportunity offers the chance to make a genuine difference every day.

Working with a 68-year-old male client with an Acquired Brain Injury, you will help him remain engaged in daily life, access the community and work towards rehabilitation goals in a way that is meaningful to him.

There are 2x positions available – one to start immediately after induction until August 2026; the other role is from September 2026 to June 2027.

These roles would suit somebody who enjoys the outdoors, has a proactive approach and takes pride in delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

As a Support Worker your role will include:
  • Supporting a male client with Acquired Brain Injury in his home and local community
  • Prompting and encouraging daily living routines and independence
  • Assisting with medication and some personal care
  • Encouraging engagement in outdoor and community activities
  • Helping the client access hobbies and interests important to him
  • Playing an active role in rehabilitation focused care
  • Building positive routines and promoting wellbeing

We’re looking for a Support Worker with:
  • Previous experience working within the health or social care sector
  • NVQ / Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
  • Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a larger vehicle
  • A proactive, compassionate and reliable approach
  • Passion for rehabilitation and helping individuals achieve goals
  • Somebody who enjoys outdoor activities and community engagement
